Portrait & Figure Painting and Drawing

This course is designed for students with drawing or painting experience. New approaches to representation will be encouraged through an in-depth study of the face and figure. Using drawing or painting as a medium students will create large- and small-scale representations while demonstrations and exercises stress an understanding of anatomical structures, proportion, and tonal values.
