In this course students will be introduced to the techniques and conceptual concerns of the fiber and textile arts through technique demonstrations, theory based readings, and individual projects. Students will be encouraged to experiment with both traditional and non-traditional materials and processes. Techniques covered will include hand sewing and embellishment, weaving, dyeing, felting, printing and knotting.
