Intro to Digital Photo

Learn basic digital camera functions as well as core photographic concepts such as depth of field, shutter speed, exposure, color theory, and composition. The focus of this 10 week course will be to gain a working understanding of digital photography — basic camera operations, photographic styles, and processes used to create images that reflect both a technical and aesthetic awareness. Through an intensive, hands-on approach, the course will cover camera menus and functions, exposure techniques, an introduction to history, composition, and creative expression. Classes will incorporate lectures, demonstrations, slide shows, discussions and critiques, all of which will encourage students to explore the full potential of the medium.
