In each class, students will learn new techniques working with this wax-based medium to achieve a number of outcomes. Topics covered will include image transfer, collage, painting, drawing techniques, printing, inlays, and the place of encaustic painting in art history. In addition to image-making and painting techniques, students will also learn about safety issues in the studio.
