Please observe pick up and drop off times accurately as staff is unable to look after students outside of these hours.
Early Care costs $10 per day. Aftercare costs $30 per day or $125 for a full week. Campers must be preregistered.
All campers must be picked up no later than 5:00 pm. Campers who participate in the aftercare program will be provided a small snack. Explore the exciting world of creativity through a wide range of multi-media activities. Campers will produce unique and original works of art, focus on the creative process, and develop imagination and originality. The combination of visual arts and theater arts, together with outdoor play gives campers a unique summer experience that is active, fun, and stimulating. Join us this summer as our campers create, discover, and grow.
VISUAL ARTS IN THE AM
Campers will experiment with a wide range of materials and a variety of art-making techniques on individual and group projects of all sizes and shapes. Topics will include painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, mosaics, collage, bookbinding, mask making, fabric dyeing, and more!
THEATER ARTS IN THE PM
We’ll explore theater games and spend time with improvisation, set design, creative writing, puppetry, and grand-scale productions. Each camp session will end with a unique original performance written, designed, and performed by the campers. Parents won’t want to miss the show!
FIELD TRIPS TOO!
Each session, campers will venture into the larger community area to visit a few of Chicago’s exciting arts and cultural institutions.
SPECIAL TOPICS IN ART
These one week intensive studies in art are designed to develop skills and explore concepts in a specific medium or focus on a single theme. New this summer, look for our “Get Inspired” series in which campers will deeply engage with an Art Center exhibition and create original artwork inspired by what they find! 10 & UP
